Sport Events Congress 2018

The CSTA went coastal when it took its annual conference, Sport Events Congress, to the east coast for the first time ever. Working with Halifax, CSTA showcased Nova Scotia's event hosting capabilities by incorporating all the warm and wonderful things Halifax is known for into the event experience - from lobster to Celtic music to NS tartan. The result was a huge boost to the sport tourism industry in Atlantic Canada and the legacy of what CSTA considers to be its best ever SEC. In addition to sessions, presentations and keynotes, delegates were treated to several social events - a brewery tour, The Flamingo dance party and the Final Four Men's U SPORTS Basketball Championships. Excellence in sport tourism was honoured at the PRESTIGE Awards Luncheon and exhibitors showcased their services in an interactive Vendor Alley featuring sports-themed games & activities.
