setting the scene In partnership with P&G, a 2018 Winter Olympic athlete and a local Massachusetts retailer, Big Y, Hype created a parking lot event, in which the Hometown Hero Gold Olympic Athlete would make an appearance, sign autographs and participate/moderate a few hockey clinics with local youth hockey players. P&G was a Team USA partner of the Olympic Winter Games 2018. The athlete was Gold Olympic medalist and captain of the U.S. Women’s Ice Hockey Team, Meghan Duggan. Our event space included a synthetic ice rink, custom branded signage, a 10×10 pop up tent, step & repeat photo area, hot cocoa station and giveaway table, outdoor lounge seating and complimentary décor to fill the outdoor space. the location Day 1 was at Big Y in Saugus, MA & Day 2 was at Big Y in N. Quincy the result There was no better way to embrace winter than getting the family together for this fun, free event with a Hometown Hero! And even though the Olympic Winter Games were over, our team was able to score gold during this family friendly event! With winning brands like Tide, Bounty, Pantene, and Gain, our Brand Ambassador team equipped attendees with deluxe P&G samples along with other branded premiums. The event had a weekend attendance of over 500 families, and Gold Olympic medalist and captain of the U.S. Women’s Ice Hockey Team, Meghan Duggan, met with young athletes, shared some inspirational sentiments and hosted mini games and clinics with the kids!
