Overview
From ATOMIC
Some of country music’s biggest super stars gathered together in Austin, Texas to perform at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival. Tim McGraw, Little Big Town and Florida Georgia Line were just a few of the talented folks to hit the stage. Providing the production design for the fourth year in a row, designer Charlie Cook worked with the ATOMIC Set Construction and Rental Solutions teams to create a successful stage design.
With a graphics package representational of traditional Nashville graphics, Cook designed a set incorporating this theme. Scenic trim surrounded the guillotine wall which resembled guitar strings. The trim was painted with a scenic faux wood treatment and included custom CNC cut iHeartRadio logo panels that represented old school printing press stamps, matching the Nashville theme. StretchSet Udon panels continued the “guitar string” look dressing the sides of the video screen, with dimensional Buckle backdrops hung below. Cook was able to utilize existing rental product to create a big look that loaded in fast and really popped on stage with lighting to complete the industrial, dimensional look.
Congrats to our awesome client and partners on another successful event: the team at iHeartRadio, DPS, Video Director Jason Rudolf, 4Wall Lighting and Video, and Lighting Designer Tom Kenny alongside his A-class team of programmers.
