Any recs for NYC restaurants that have been great to work with for full buyouts? (I’ve already sourced the Vendry venue list. 😉) Looking for any personal recs from the hive.
Not sure about the vibe you're looking for, but in June we bought out Skinos (downtown, Greek/Mediterranean) & Seamore's (Brookfield Place, American/seafood) for weeknight dinners, and they were very easy to work with and gave us a great deal.
Taralluci et Vino has many fully private room options, and the person I've worked with there is super accommodating.
Let me know if you'd like me to connect you with any of them!
Thanks, @EventPlanner233. Any other recs in the 400 person count range that come to mind?
The Grill / Pool is amazing for 400+ https://thegrillnewyork.com/private-dining/
@EventPlanner344 City Winery's river level, or City Vineyard's full restaurant might be good options. I did not go with them as we ultimately needed something within FiDi, but I can give you the contact info for the people I spoke with.
I also recently privately chartered La Barca Cantina for a big weeknight event, and the experience was so much fun. I was afraid it would be cheesy at first but it ended up great. The price was reasonable and we were able to brand the boat & create a signature drink package. And because we privately chartered, we could decide if we even wanted to sail, how long to sail and dock, etc. (We sailed for 90 minutes then continued the party while docked for another hour.)
Thank you!
I've said it before but pending how many people I love Thyme Bar, I havent done an event there but i know they do buy outs!
Also LaMalo's space looks pretty cool too for a full buyout
Thanks @EventPlanner790, Thyme Bar is a beautiful spot, appreciate the rec!
@EventPlanner344 - SAGA was a smash hit for us

Hi all — does anyone have reccos of party venues that fit ~900 people? Few notes:
• Targeting Manhattan
• Huge pro if they have in-house catering
• Looking for something more laid back (bar, restaurant) vs a Cipriani/Tao/Capitale. We were at Pier60 this year, which was great, but we like to switch it up 🙂
Appreciate any suggestions, thank you in advance!

<!here>, we're kicking off this channel to be a dedicated space to support one another as event tech continues to rapidly evolve. This post on LinkedIn inspired me to ask - are you willing to share your event tech stack with the group here? It might help inspire other members to look into new solutions, or ask for your more specific advice or opinion on tech you currently use. As a reminder, we also have the #ai-for-events channel for those interested.
