Named after the stage, film and television actress best remembered as Florida Evans, a sharp, but caring housekeeper-a character she played on two comedy series, Maude and Good Times. Rolle was a member of the Shogola Obola Dance Company and a founding member of the Negro Ensemble Company. An intimate TBAAL Conference Lounge excellent for board, staff, volunteer and other small meeting. Accommodates 25.

Intimate café, cabaret-style theatre named after the first African American actor to “star” in a film. Known as the”Dean of Black Actors”, Muse was the 1st person to make a substantial financial contribution to TBAAL. Excellent venue for comedy shows, one-man/woman theatre performances, music programs and poetry performances. Seats 250, has 3 dressing rooms and bar area.

Main Stage named after one of TBAAL’s founding volunteers and Dallas actress who performed in non African-American theaters in the 1940s through the 1970s.
In 1974, co-founded Dallas Minority Rep Theatre with Irma P. Hall, Carol Frost and others. An excellent venue for major productions, concerts, workshops, etc. Seats 1,750.

The Latino Cultural Center is an excellent venue for cultural and arts events.  The LCC is available for rent to nonprofit organizations that share the Center’s mission of promoting Latino art and culture.

The Latino Cultural Center is an excellent venue for cultural and arts events. The 27,000 square foot facility includes a 300 seat theater, an art gallery, sculpture courtyards, multipurpose room and an outdoor plaza.

The stunning 711-seat Carpenter Hall is a fully-equipped theater renovated in 2018. With no seat more than 75’ from the front of the stage, the audience experiences the excitement and energy of a live performance from every seat in the house.

The smaller of the two theaters at the Irving Arts Center is the Dupree Theater. With a capacity of 257, the theater is perfect for intimate experiences. The theater has a hydraulic pit and 31 line sets.

Dupree has a separate Box Office space for use night of the event, along with a concession area. There is an also a courtyard adjacent to the lobby.  Dupree Lobby also serves as a gallery that is perfect for smaller, intimate receptions before or after an event.

This 3000 sq. ft. room with hardwood floors and dimmable lighting can accommodate up to 200 seated at round tables with a podium and up to 300 cocktail or auditorium style.

Room C is 22′ x 30′ and has a capacity of 44 persons. It can be set in a variety of configurations with an optional screen and a serving bar adjacent to the prep kitchen.

The Arts Center has a variety of meeting rooms and classroom spaces with flexible configurations and pricing. Each has a capacity of at least 23 seated at tables, 30 auditorium style, and 49 when used reception style (without chairs).

Irving Arts Center’s Rehearsal Hall is 36′ x 57′ square feet. It features a sprung dance floor, acoustical shell ceiling, and mirrors on one wall. Ballet barres are available on request. The rehearsal hall is adjacent to both Carpenter Hall and Dupree Theater.

The art-filled lobbies make great luncheon venues for groups of 75 or less. Each opens to an outdoor courtyard weather permitting.

The Courtyard is not available for rental as an individual space; however, it is included as part of any Suite 200 rental. When you rent Suite 200 for an event, the use of the courtyard is included. The Courtyard can be accessed from the Main Gallery, Annex and Suite 200. A beautiful fountain is the center of the Courtyard, which also features a canopy of white lights at night.

Two connecting classrooms with tile floors and a sink for wet work are great places for classes or break out meetings of 30 or less.

Art Lab

This L-shaped space is available as a tandem rental with Suite 200 or as a separate rental space. Adjacent to Suite 200 and accessible through double glass doors, it makes a great lounge, buffet service area or holding room for larger events.
