Thriller Villa

The Grand Salon has hosted private meetings and elaborate dining events.  A stunning room featuring a real stone fireplace and Murano glass chandelier, it was once a favorite retreat for former resident Michael Jackson.  Two stunning and rare antique pianos from the Liberace Museum Collection are exhibited.

With seating for up to 50, the Grand Salon can hold twice that in a standing cocktail. adjacent to the Havana Bar and opening onto the Kings Courtyard, two walls are windows overlooking the grounds.

A place of amazing light and ambiance, the World Conference Room has hosted as many as 40 people theater style, or 16 at conference table.  The high ceiling provides for excellent acoustics. Direct service from the nearby kitchen arrives discreetly.  There is a whiteboard, beverage refrigerator, butler area with sink, dressing room, restroom, direct access to the outdoors and outdoor smoking areas.

A classic example of the builder’s penchant for creating an outdoor experience indoors, the Brindisi Dining Room recalls a town square and chapel, under a blue sky.  The ceiling is 20 feet, the ambiance light and airy with a medieval festivity feeling.  There is a skylighted terrarium and the windows have rolling blackout shutters to allow for a darkened effect, when desired in the day time.  The room has double doors and an extra service entrance apart from guests.  A dedicated restroom and air conditioning have allowed it to host up to 40, but it still feels most comfortable with about a dozen friends dining.

The King’s Courtyard in a square, enclosed courtyard behind an enormous door, hidden from sight behind the Hacienda walls.  Shaded by trees and presenting a fountain and statuary including Hijos de la Luna, a marble statue of children riding the crescent moon.  It is a peaceful space of grace and ambiance.  King’s Courtyard has accommodated seated dinners for over 200, though much smaller social events are the norm.

The Foyer, Havana Cigar Bar and Grand Salon all open up directly to the King’s Courtyard.  There are two automobile-sized gates and an outdoor covered corridor as well.  Spectacular entrances can be made by pulling a limousine directly into the Kings Courtyard.

The Havana Cigar Bar is designed for high traffic and ventilation, while being situated at the zenith of Neverland Chapel, and the Grand Salon, opening directly to the Kings Courtyard.  The air system is designed to release cigar smoke without having it permeate other rooms, making this spot a respite for any lucky Cigar aficionado invited in.

The Grounds of Hacienda Palomino are an award-winning, extraordinary example of how lush and colorful desert landscaping can be.  The entire 1.75 acre compound is meticulously, completely landscaped with rare trees and blooming cacti.  Shade coverage is designed to make the property’s many outdoor facilities useful year round.  All this in perfect keeping with the authentic Hacienda design of the structures.

The spectacular main entrance to the property opens into the Foyer.

Overlooking the King’s Courtyard through a wall of arched windows and a very special glass and wrought iron door, the Foyer’s custom wood ceiling speaks of old world craftsmanship.  A fireplace keep things cozy in the winter.  There is room for musicians and instruments, as well as check-in facilities.

The labyrinthine subterranean vault of Thriller Villa is legendary.

The builder of Thriller Villa was, among other things, a tremendous art collector.  He built the underground secretly, to house his most valuable treasures.  There it stayed until his demise in the early 2000’s.

After returning to the US in 2006, Michael Jackson leased the property from the current owner, to hide his own massive art and treasures collection here, under the Villa.  In the Artists Vault, Michael Jackson’s collections were insured for $600 million.

In 2016 the Liberace Foundation developed an exhibit within the Vaults, to demonstrate the attraction of the Liberace Museum Collection to prospective exhibitors.  Visitors were instrumental in the development of Liberace’s exhibits at the Paris Museum of Modern Art in 2017, The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art and the MET Gala in 2019, and Monte Carlo Fashion Week in 2019, among others.

Neverland Chapel is the name given to the chapel, adorned with musical insignia and guarded by the patron saint of the animals, which is the forefront of the property known as Hacienda Palomino.

Little Church of the West

Built in 1942 the Little Church of the West was placed on the registry of historic places in 1992.  Now the oldest building on the Las Vegas strip this historic wedding chapel is also available for private events.
