McColl Center is housed in a nearly 100-year-old building with exposed brick and concrete flooring in uptown Charlotte. We have several spaces that can be rented for meetings, workshops, receptions, and other special events.

The main gallery at McColl Center is located on the first level and is easily used in conjunction with our other rental spaces. 2 levels of balconies provide additional space for mingling, light hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. The space is accessible from multiple entry points, the most impressive being our front entrance. Approximately 2,600 square feet.

Located on the lower level, the Levine Creative Hub showcases historical brick walls, stained concrete floors, an open ceiling, and a private entrance. This space is perfect for corporate meetings, workshops, retreats, or dinner and dancing. Approximately 2,500 square feet.

The first-floor studio is located off the Main Gallery and has large windows to let in daylight. The 620-square foot space comes with a built-in projector making the room ideal for your next meeting or workshop. Approximately 620 square feet.

Renting the full facility gives you exclusivity in our space. Not only can you host a dinner reception in the Great Hall, but your guests can also experience all the fun activities and interactive exhibits upstairs in Inside NASCAR, enjoy a movie in the theater and have time to explore the exhibits in the Hall of Honor! Our team can work with you to develop a customized schedule so your guests can maximize their experience at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

This large open area features a flexible floorplan against the backdrop of the iconic Glory Road, which features 18 iconic stock cars on display. The flexibility of this space makes it ideal for anything from a luncheon with a keynote speaker to a holiday party with a band or DJ.

Our events team will customize the layout specifically to your needs. Plus to compliment your event, your can utilize our 24' x 14' video board to showcase logos, display graphics or play video!

One of Charlotte's most technologically advanced presentation theaters, ideal for meetings and award presentations. The theater comfortably fits 278 guests in our stadium-style seating and has full audio/visual capabilities. All theater rentals include the use of the Theater Lobby, which can be used as a pre- or post-function area for catering or breakouts.

The third and fourth floors of the NASCAR Hall of Fame are known as Inside NASCAR and Heritage Speedway. These spaces are an ideal backdrop for your reception. Attendees can explore history while engaging with interactive content. You don't need to be a hardcore NASCAR fan to enjoy this space. To embrace the reception style event, we set the space with high top tables and soft seating. Your guests can eat, drink, play and repeat at their own pace.

The Hall of Honor if the pinnacle of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. It is in this room where inductees are enshrined and celebrated for their achievements. This hallowed setting is perfect for an intimate reception or exclusive VIP dinner.

The Legends Room is a conference style room great for small gatherings, meetings and presentations. It has full audio/visual capabilities, with a built-in screen and projector.

Just outside the doors of the NASCAR Hall of Fame, the Plaza's flexible set up offers countless configurations. Able to accommodate events, festivals, concerts and athletic competitions, the Plaza is a customizable space. Capacity varies based on the desired configuration. Your NASCAR Hall of Fame sales manager will work with you to tailor the space to your needs.

The atrium, featuring natural vegetation and floor-toceiling views of the terrace, gardens and park, hosts private events after hours when the Museum closes. The atrium has a capacity up to 100 for seated dinner or 200 for a reception.

This versatile space, on the Lower Level, features Star Gallery works of art by local students (during the school year) and kitchen access. It can accommodate 80 people theater-style, 72 for a seated meal, 36 in classroom style or 25 people board room style. It is an ideal venue for smaller seated dinners, corporate meetings, retreats, and seminars.

The auditorium, located just behind the atrium, is a 174- seat circular theater with multiple entrances in the round with audio and video features and multiple entrances ideal for lectures, music performances, and film screenings.* The space is equipped with a removable podium with attached microphone, screen and projector.

This gallery on the museum’s Upper Level is a unique setting for art lovers featuring glass-enclosed showcases of work from the Mint’s extensive and renowned Decorative Arts Collection. This space can accommodate 120 for a seated dinner or 140 for a reception. Events in the Delhom Gallery must take place outside of the museum’s operating hours.

The historic terrace with views of the Mint’s original 1836 façade capped off by the museum’s signature golden eagle, can accommodate 225 for outdoor events or ceremonies. The Eagle Terrace is not available as a stand-alone rental.

The Mint Museum's front terrace offers sweeping views overlooking the front lawn and Eastover Park. This space is perfect for cocktail hours, receptions and outdoor dinners under the stars. We can host private events after hours when the Museum closes. This space can also be tented for inclement weather. The front terrace is not available as a stand-alone rental.

Our stunning and spacious front lawn is available to rent for outdoor functions. The grounds are surrounded by foliage and gardens that are maintained by the Charlotte Garden Club. Renters are able to tent the lawn in order to provide privacy and protection from the elements. This is not a stand-alone rental, so renters must also choose an indoor space to rent for access to the catering kitchen and indoor restrooms.

This educational gallery that surrounds the Van Every Auditorium tells the illustrious history of the Mint Museum from inception to present day. This space is not a stand-alone rental, and must be rented along with another first floor space.

With the whimsical Firebird sculpture and warm terra-cotta-tiled exterior serving as the backdrop the Bechtler's lobby/plaza combination is ideal for cocktail receptions for up to 375 guests standing.

The Bechtler's lobby can comfortably accommodate up to 120 guests for a sit-down function and 180 for a standing reception. The lobby's glass front walls and doors provide stimulating visual interplay between the city's street life and a special event taking place inside. Offering airy, modern surroundings, granite floors and a colorful 23-ft-tall wall drawing by conceptual artist Sol LeWitt, the museum's lobby delivers an inspired atmosphere for events and celebrations.

The second-floor sculpture terrace is a perfect setting for a cockatil reception, offering sweeping views of the Levine Center for the Arts and The Green Park. The terrace can accommodate up to 50 people for a standing reception.

For meetings, workshops, retreats and programs, consider the Bechtler classroom, which offers a Wi-Fi connection and access to audio visual equipment. A number of classroom layouts are available; most room configurations accommodate 23 to 30 people.

Mint Museum Uptown

This grand space features a 60- by 60-foot glass wall overlooking Levine Avenue for the Arts and the Knight Theater. Summer Wheat's Foragers, pictured on the left, will be on display until Fall 2023. The dramatic interior includes richly stained hardwood floors and a wood slat ceiling. The atrium showcases the fascinating four-story textile work by artist Sheila Hicks, Mega Footprint Near the Hutch (May I Have This Dance?), and a monumental canvas by Sam Francis, Untitled (Sea rst).

This sheltered terrace offers open-air views of Charlotte’s cityscape, the Mint’s interactive grand staircase, and the beautiful architecture of Levine Center for the Arts. Guests start in the Carroll Entryway, home to the Mint’s signature Royal Blue Mint Chandelier by glass artist Dale Chihuly and other works from the Mint’s permanent collection.

The auditorium is located just off the atrium. A 240-seat theater fully equipped with included modern audio and video features,* a mezzanine, and multiple entrances, this space is perfect to host lectures, symposia, music performances, and films. Glass artist Tom Patti’s commission Spectral Boundary spans two doors as part of the auditorium‘s inner wall, and the wood, rubber, and steel sculpture vinge segla adorns the other side.

James B. Duke Auditorium

The Expansion Space located on the level five is a unique hybrid industrial style event space that hosts both Mint special exhibits, and a variety of events. In addition to being used as an exhibition space, the 7,500 square foot room has been used for galas, fashion shows, weddings, and holiday parties. The space also works well in a tandem form with the Silverman Grand Room and Trustees Terrace. The combination of the entire level five space can host a reception style event for several hundred guests.

The Star Gallery is a place for students from around Charlotte to have their works displayed. Adjacent to the Auditorium, large enough to accommodate 170 guests for a standing reception.
