El Cholo has been a landmark restaurant in Los Angeles since 1923. In 2000, this family tradition arrived in Pasadena. Originally opened along Fair Oaks Ave, we now proudly call El Paseo Colorado our home since 2010. Come in and enjoy a “taste of history” sampling our time honored family recipes. With over 91 years of serving authentic Mexican cuisine in Los Angeles, El Cholo is now proud to be serving the community of Pasadena since 2000. Come in and enjoy our lovely location and food, we have indoor and outdoor seating. Our Bar has a lovely view of the San Gabriel Mountains and we serve over 150 different Tequilas that have been hand picked by our Certified Sommelier.
