White Horse Tavern is the second oldest bar in NYC, opening our doors in 1880. We have served a diverse set of clientele over the years ranging from early 20th century longshoremen and famous writers and artists like Dylan Thomas, James Baldwin, Jack Kerouac, Bob Dylan & Jim Morrison to residents and visitors looking for a quality American restaurant & pub inside a historic time capsule of Old New York. We are one of the best West Village bars, offering a popular happy hour, a late night food menu and much more.
