Hillside Farmacy resides in a building owned by one of the oldest standing African American East Austin residents. In the 50’s, pharmacist Doc Young & his family operated Hillside Drugstore. The Drugstore closed in the 70’s and the deteriorating building was lovingly restored by the Hillside Farmacy team and were honored to receive a Preservation Austin Award for their efforts. Hillside Farmacy is a restaurant & bar located at 1209 E.11th St. in the heart of East Austin. Just minutes from downtown, Texas State Capitol & the State Cemetery. Hillside Farmacy features indoor and outdoor event spaces. Our patios serve as the ideal setting for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate meetings and cocktail receptions. The side patio features a fountain, large retractable awning, both patios have large fans, free standing gas heaters & are dog friendly.
