Welcome to The Hoban Hotel in Kilkenny a vibrant place to stay meet and socialise. The hotel is named for James Hoban 1755-1831 a pioneering Kilkenny-born architect who designed and built Americas White House. Following a 1 million euro renovation programme the lobby bar and restaurant have been completely transformed and we have introduced brand new menus with a choice of delicious food and drinks. We have also refurbished our 4 conference rooms making them the ideal spot for training - interviews and meetings. Car parking and Wi-Fi are both complimentary. Our 80 spacious guest rooms were recently renovated and are suitable for corporate guests groups of friends or families. The bathrooms have been entirely refurbished and fitted with walk-in rainfall showers. We also offer fully accessible rooms for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility. Our team make the atmosphere of the hotel what it is. Down to earth friendly and knowledgeable - we are here to help. We have the inside track on all things Kilkenny so whether its the hot spots of the city or the hidden gems of Irelands Ancient East - we can point you in the right direction. We understand the importance of sustainability and preserving our environment - so we have implemented some ideas here at the Hoban Hotel to try reduce our impact on the environment. We have put together some information on all of the initiatives we are putting into practice here from the general running of our building to the daily maintenance and operations within the hotel. Covid safety remains very important and we follow all public health guidelines current at the time.
