In 1990, the International Flower and Greenery Exposition was held at Tsurumi Ryokuchi in Osaka, with the theme of Creating a prosperous 21st century in which people and nature live in harmony, and it became a hot topic at the time. Among them was the Flowers and Greenery Museum of Japanese Painting,'' which exhibited new works on the theme of nature - flowers and greenery - by 50 contemporary Japanese painters representing the Japanese art world, and was well received. After the exposition, this work was donated to the museum and formed the basis of the museum's collection. Today, we continue to collect contemporary Japanese paintings with themes of flowers, greenery, and nature.
