The Henry is a museum for contemporary art and ideas. We believe in the power of art to challenge norms, expand hearts, and build community. We seek a world where lives are enhanced by first-hand experiences with living artists and original works of art, and where dialogue about the complex ideas of our time is encouraged. The Henry advances contemporary art and ideas. At the museum, you will find exhibitions by an always-rotating roster of international artists working at many different scales and media—from intimate photography installations to monumental immersive experiences, sometimes drawn from our permanent collection. As the only museum solely dedicated to contemporary art in our region, we collaborate with emerging and established artists to explore topics important to our times—identity, representation, sustainability, and more.
