Created for educational purposes by the Union of Manufacturers, the Museum has been installed since 1951 in the sumptuous mansion at 16, rue de la Faisanderie in Paris. By a curious coincidence, this building is itself a copy of a 17th century mansion which was located at the time in the Marais district.
