The Aero Theatre, named in honor of the aerospace industry, was originally built by the Douglas Aircraft Company in 1940. After undergoing renovations in 2005, it reopened as the Max Palevsky Theatre at the Aero in Santa Monica. With state-of-the-art projection equipment, enhanced sound, and facility upgrades, the theatre continues to showcase a variety of programs including advance screenings, retrospectives, revivals, restorations, in-person discussions with filmmakers, and the annual all-night Horrorthon.
