Casino de la Exposición
The Exhibition Casino is one of the main cultural centers of reference in the city, built to house the Seville Pavilion that was part of the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929.
Work of the Valencian architect Vicente Traver y Tomás in 1926, who, replacing Aníbal González, used elements of the baroque style both in the ornamentation and in the entire complex, including the circular hall of the Casino and the columnar portico with which it opens. Throughout the year, there is a careful, varied and wide offer with artistic exhibitions and other cultural activities such as book presentations or courses. Among the events that have already been held in this enclave, we can highlight the World Chess Championship, Headquarters of the Film Festival and Flamenco Biennial among others. As a noteworthy fact, since 2012 the Exhibition Casino has been the official headquarters of The House of Poets and Letters. This Sevillian space is located in a strategic location in Seville, next to the María Luisa Park and the Plaza de España, and very close to the monumental area of the city, making it the ideal place for different events.
