The Georgia Museum of Art, on the campus of the University of Georgia, in Athens, is both an academic museum and, since 1982, the official art museum of the state of Georgia. The permanent collection consists of American paintings, primarily 19th- and 20th-century; American, European and Asian works on paper; the Samuel H. Kress Study Collection of Italian Renaissance paintings; and growing collections of southern decorative arts and Asian art.

A non-refundable deposit is needed to reserve the venue space.
Guests enter through the main lobby doors of the museum.
Additional spaces can be reserved for the back of the house or storage.
Clean-up and trash removal must be executed by the vendor and caterer.
Cash bar permit must be provided by contracted bar servers or caterers and a copy of the provider’s “off-site alcohol license” must be on file with the GMOA special events department. (14 days prior to event) Special event license is needed in order to occupy the outdoor or indoor spaces of the venue.
