Although it may seem austere from the outside, due to its simple white walls, the Viana Palace houses the most important and best preserved stately home in Córdoba, and one of the main ones in Spain. Open as a monument to the public for more than 40 years, Viana brings together in one place the largest concentration of patios in the city and a palace-house full of furniture, works of art, heritage and history, gathered over five centuries. . The Viana Palace is not a typical museum, it does not show reproductions nor has it been created to take advantage of the attraction of the Cordoban patios. On the contrary: it is an authentic and lived-in house, in which inherited objects are displayed in their environment and context. And it reflects the personality and tastes of the families who lived there between 1425 and 1980.
