Princess of Wales Theatre
This modern 2000-seat theatre, built by the father and son producing team of David and Ed Mirvish, opened on May 26, 1993, with the Canadian premiere of Miss Saigon. Designed by architect Peter Smith.
The Princess of Wales Theatre is a large, yet intimate, state-of-the-art venue that offers exceptional comfort for guests and technical facilities second to none. Its three levels of seating hold 2,000 seats, yet no patron sits further than 85 feet from the stage. Speaking of the stage, it is one of the widest and deepest in North America and features a huge fly tower – capable of hosting just about any production or event you can imagine. It is an ideal venue for theatrical productions, concerts, comedy, benefits, press conferences, lectures, product launches, private functions and much more.
