According to the company's biography, the company was founded in 730 by Makandaomi of the Izumo clan in Shibasaki Village, Toshima District, Musashi Province (currently around Masakadzuka, Otemachi, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo). After that, natural disasters frequently occurred around Masakado-zuka, and people were feared by the divine power of Lord Masakado, so Shinkyo Shonin, an itinerant monk of the Tokishu sect, generously comforted the spirit, and in 1309, the shrine was moved to our company. I dedicated it. During the Sengoku period, it was highly revered by famous military commanders such as Ota Dokan and Hojo Ujitsuna. In 1600, when the decisive Battle of Sekigahara occurred, our company held a prayer for victory for Tokugawa Ieyasu as he went into battle. Then, on September 15th, on the day of the Kanda Festival, they achieved a stunning victory and unified the country. From then on, the Tokugawa shogunate ordered this festival to be held continuously as a festival of good luck.
