Domaine Des Bossons
In the heart of the Geneva vineyards, Domaine des Bossons offers you wines made with passion for 4 generations. You are welcome!
When Caesar and the Romans arrived in Geneva in 58 BC, vines were already cultivated there. The importance of this vineyard is confirmed by the laws of King Gondebaud in the 5th century who punished the grape thief with death! The oldest document found in the State archives of Geneva concerns the donation of Countess Eldegarde of her Peissy vines to the Church in 912 (Peissy, small village where the Leyvraz Family is located today. ) It is therefore a story dating back two thousand years that this piece of land tells where Mr. Leyvraz's grandfather, Mr. Albert Desbaillet, founded the Bossons estate in 1905, he who was already the grandson of a winegrower. Today the Bossons estate is in its 4th generation with Mrs. Laure Leyvraz, daughter of Mr. Eric Leyvraz. The Domaine cultivates 18 different grape varieties.
