The Blue Shield of California Theater at YBCA has two-tier seating, dual-level lobbies, a spacious stage, great sight lines, and a generous technical inventory. Available for staged presentations, conference sessions, and special performances. The Theater has its own lobby for entrance at 700 Howard Street.

The Forum is a modern, spacious, and flexible 6,700 sq ft space with 29’ high tension-grid ceiling. Available for presentations, receptions, or exhibition space. The Forum can be entered through the YBCA Grand Lobby at 701 Mission Street or through Yerba Buena Gardens.

YBCA Forum

Located above the Grand Lobby and Forum, the Screening Room offers fixed seating and state-of-the-art projection equipment for films, simulcasts, and staged presentations. Not a stand-alone venue, the Screening Room rented in conjunction with Forum and/or Theater only.

Screening Room

With public seating areas and complimentary WiFi, the Grand Lobby is YBCA’s main entrance for our box office, galleries, Forum, and offices. It can also be a shared space for guest registration, networking, and community gatherings.

The Grand Lobby is available for private rentals from 6PM daily, or 8PM on Thursday.
