As You Are is a safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals in Washington, DC. We are a café, bar, and dance boutique that aims to cultivate a welcoming environment for the LGBTQIA+ community. While our priority is this community, we welcome everyone to come as they are and celebrate our magnificent culture.

Staff is vaccinated against COVID-19
We encourage masking at the counter and until seated with your group in the cafe. We provide masks as we can and are grateful when guests come prepared with their own masks, as well. The dance floor is more of an "at your own risk" environment with the exception of specifically notated events. ASL interpretation is provided at the majority of spoken events (some exceptions due to scheduling conflicts or snafus).

1 block from the Eastern Market Metro bus lines run daily in front of AYA bicycle parking available on our corner Street parking available at all hours in the neighborhoods surrounding (reference signage for parking restrictions)
