In the museum in Hamburg, in a total of three houses on 2,500 square meters, you accompany the people with all their wishes and dreams, which they took with them on their way to a new home. Get to know Albert Ballin, the founder of the former emigration halls in Hamburg, and follow the development of migration. BallinStadt is more than a museum or not a museum in the traditional sense. The focus is less on the artefacts and exhibits than on the experience of immersing yourself in the topic of migration with all your senses.
