Laxá Hótel

Hotel Laxá, a new and magnificent hotel with 80 rooms was opened June 2014 in the area of Lake Mývatn. The hotel is located on a beautiful ridge in the southern part of the region and offers a great view in all directions, e.g. over Laxá river, the river which the hotel is named after, Lake Mývatn and the fantastic ring of mountains in the region. This is a three star hotel it´s goal is to have all the hotel‘s operation “green and clean”. When designing the hotel, some distinctive features of the local region were taken into consideration and have been brought out in various ways. From May 2015, the hotel will be open all year round.
