Kentucky Derby Museum
We are a nonprofit organization who is entrusted to preserve the history and legacy of the Kentucky Derby, the longest continuously-running sporting event in the country dating back to the first Derby in 1875.
Kentucky Derby Museum is located next to Churchill Downs® Racetrack in one of Louisville's historic neighborhoods just 10 minutes from downtown Louisville. The Kentucky Derby Museum is one of the region’s premier attractions, celebrating the tradition, history, hospitality, and pride of the world-renowned event that is the Kentucky Derby. There's only one place where you can find yourself among the celebrated legends of the Kentucky Derby. Our grand spaces, fine cuisine, and rich array of add-on experiences - including private walking tours of Churchill Downs, make Kentucky Derby Museum the perfect location for a variety of events. The Museum provides a one-of-a-kind setting to host galas, corporate events, meetings, cocktail receptions, and seminars up to 2,000 guests, day and night. The Museum boasts customizable indoor space and an all-weather outdoor space, exhilarating exhibits, amenities, tours of historic Churchill Downs Racetrack and more that exude a day at the races.
