Tramonto Rooftop is the capital’s Italian restaurant with 360 ° views of Copenhagen and the old Carlsberg Village.
On January 14, 2019, Tramonto – opened on top of the new Hotel Ottilia in Carlsberg City. Tramonto, sunset in Italian, offers a unique setting with the most amazing 360-degree views of Copenhagen and Carlsberg’s many historic buildings. The restaurant, which also houses the lounge and bar, can offer guests both indoors and outdoors sunset, sumptuous views, cocktails at the bar, and authentic Italian dishes created from scratch from the best ingredients. The open kitchen is infused with Southern enthusiasm, adding a Nordic twist to the classic Italian dishes. Tramonto opened its doors in connection with the opening of the new Brøchner Hotel, Hotel Ottilia in the historic and iconic buildings of Carlsberg City. Tramonto is run by restaurateur couple Jonna and Jerry Kadriev. For the past 20 years, they have run the Italian restaurant La Rocca in Vendersgade in Copenhagen, known for its authentic Italian cuisine and hearty southern atmosphere. Tramonto is located on top of two listed, historic buildings in Carlsberg City. Lagerkælder building and Maltmagasinet. The storage cellar building has been used for storing beer until 1995, while Maltmagasinet was a central building in Carl Jacobsen’s New Carlsberg Brewery. The building was inaugurated in 1881 – 28 years after brewer J.P. Jacobsen moved to the area in the magnificent villa “Bryggerens Akademi”.
