About
Hummus is as popular in the Middle East as currywurst is in Germany. We found it a pity that hummus in Cologne has so far only led the somewhat desolate existence of a dip on the appetizer plates of oriental snack bars. So in 2015 we decided to make hummus socially acceptable. First we surfed the wave of street food for a while and trundled through the cities at the weekend with a mobile stand – from the street food festival straight back to the office chair on Monday. After a few tests in Cologne Gastro Pop-Ups we knew we wanted more! An ever-growing crowd of hummus fans and the award of the Gastro Gründerpreis 2016 gave us the necessary wind in our backs: we put everything on one card, quit our jobs and went looking for a shop in Cologne - and it should take a while until we found our sweetheart in Roonstr. 36 found.
