With around 600,000 guests and over 400 events every year, we make a significant contribution to Munich's reputation as one of the most renowned international cultural cities. Every year from September to July, over 40 operas from five centuries and more than 20 ballets from the 19th century to the present are performed within a season, as well as concerts and song evenings. With 2,101 seats, our venue, the Munich National Theater , is the largest opera house in Germany and is considered one of the most beautiful theaters in Europe.
