The Lenbachhaus is an international art museum in Munich with the world's largest collection of Blue Rider art (Wassily Kandinsky, Gabriele Münter, Franz Marc, Paul Klee, and many more). The collection also includes works from the 18th and 19th centuries and contemporary art (Joseph Beuys, Gerhard Richter, Sigmar Polke, Rupprecht Geiger, and many more). The Lenbachhaus was opened in 1929 in the former artist's residence of Franz von Lenbach. In the late 19th century, Lenbach played a decisive role in shaping the myth of Munich as an art city and rose to become a celebrated portrait painter in 1870. The renovated representative rooms on the 1st floor still convey an impression of the former splendor of the artists' villa.
Unfortunately, Lenbachhaus hasn't added any spaces to their profile on The Vendry.
