Jeju Folk is where the history and culture of Jeju live and breathe.
Unfortunately, Jeju Folk Village hasn't added any spaces to their profile on The Vendry.
Jeju Folk was created to preserve the cultural heritage of Jeju in their natural and original states. The museum was formed through expert historical research, and is made up of cultural assets of Jeju mainly from the 19th century, such as the mountain villages, hill-country villages, fishing villages, shamanism villages, Jeju Yeongmun (former Jeju government office), and Yubaesco (forced exile house). The museum stands out for the houses it has on exhibition. Numbering over 100, these traditional houses once actually housed the people of Jeju in the past, and efforts are being made to revive the former skills of master folk craftsmen from the past within these very houses. Jeju Folk Village will continue to play its role as the 'Most Jeju-like place in Jeju" by preserving the traces of old Jeju and continue to remain as a ground of new cultural creation through the continuous discovery, preservation, and succession of Jeju's are being made to revive cultural heritage.
