The Culture Center
Boutique private event space on the Upper West Side. Adaptable for many occasions!
The Culture Center was founded in 1990 to meet the needs of non-profit organizations and other institutions that do not maintain their own special event spaces. Located on Columbus Avenue, opposite the American Museum of Natural History, the space is accessed down a sky-lit stairway flanked by century-old exposed brick overlooking a rock garden. Whether you have a global reach or a more personal celebration in mind, The Culture Center is an elegant and warm space that can be adapted for many occasions. We aim to be a green space and an affordable event venue. Access is directly from Columbus Avenue down a sky-lit stairway flanked by century old exposed brick overlooking a rock garden. The main room can be arranged with a staging area and audience style seating, or more casually. The space has a light oak floor, white walls and track lighting. Like a blank canvas, it can be decorated and styled to suit your vision.
