Fondazione Prada
Exhibits of contemporary art in a unique complex of buildings designed by Rem Koolhaas, located at 2 Largo Isarco, Milano, Italy.
The Milan headquarters of the Prada Foundation, designed by the OMA architectural firm, led by Rem Koolhaas, expands the repertoire of spatial typologies in which art can be exhibited and shared with the public. Characterized by an articulated architectural configuration that combines pre-existing buildings and three new constructions (Podium, Cinema and Tower), it is the result of the transformation of a distillery dating back to the 1910s. The Tower marks the completion of the Milan office. The building, 60 meters high, is made of exposed structural white concrete.
