Hot Docs is not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing and celebrating the art of documentary and creating production opportunities for documentary filmmakers. It is a year-round home for first-run Canadian and international documentary films, as well as special presentations and showcases. Continuing its longstanding role as a community cinema, it also hosts many of the city's independent film festivals, and offers some specialized fiction film programming. Host your event in our century-old theatre located in the heart of Toronto’s Annex neighbourhood. Following the renovation by internationally acclaimed architectural firm Hariri Pontarini, the 650-seat theatre features improved seating, dazzling lobby and concessions areas, an expansive screen, an updated sound system, additional lighting, and new projection equipment. Our experienced technical and events team will work with you every step of the way to ensure that your function is run flawlessly.
