Historic Building
Spandauer Damm 10-22, 14059 Berlin, Germany
The Great Orangery, which adjoins the Old Palace to the west, was built between 1709 and 1712 on behalf of King Frederick I of Prussia based on designs by Johann Friedrich Eosander as an elongated, one-story baroque building. The magnificent salon in the middle, highlighted by wide, three-axis columns, opens onto the two side wings decorated in elegant white. Mainly intended to store the extensive, valuable Charlottenburg bitter orange collection during the cold season, the Great Orangery served the Hohenzollern family as a representative garden banquet hall for balls, receptions and wedding celebrations. After severe damage in the Second World War, the building's exterior was restored by 1962 and its interior was built as an event and exhibition space. Celebrate like a king - In the majestic atmosphere of this extraordinary event location in Berlin's only remaining city palace, Charlottenburg Palace, your guests are sure to be amazed. The special architecture and picturesque gardens, light-flooded ballrooms combined with modern technology, excellent service and a first-class gastronomy concept give your event a unique, individual profile. Celebrate celebrations that will be remembered! Where tradition meets modernity, your event will become an unforgettable experience.
