Hotel Gajoen Tokyo is a one-of-a-kind museum hotel that inherits over 90 years of tradition and is decorated with 2,500 Japanese paintings and other arts and crafts. Meguro Gajoen, the predecessor of Hotel Gajoen Tokyo, has its roots in Shibaura Gajoen, a purely Japanese-style restaurant that founder Rikizo Hosokawa opened in 1928 after renovating his home in Shibaura, Tokyo. At the time of its founding, it was a high-class restaurant that focused on offering authentic flavors to its customers, mainly serving Beijing cuisine in addition to Japanese cuisine.
