Husk - Charleston
Centrally located in historic downtown Charleston, Husk transforms the essence of Southern food.
What once had disintegrated into an austere ruin next to the main restaurant now houses an innovative freestanding bar. Tightly arranged and roughhewn, with century-old, exposed brick still intact and skilled bartenders stationed on the first floor, the bar at Husk recalls a bygone era of Charleston nightlife and Husk’s emphasis on classic cocktails continues the city’s historic tippling traditions. Our bartenders offer an extensive lineup of historic and modern cocktails designed to honor the traditional spirits of the Southern table and trace the historical lineage of regional mixology. Patrons can sit upstairs in the second-floor lounge of the bar, overlooking the broad verandas of Husk’s street-front while tasting some of the most delicious drinks in the South. It is a place to relax and enjoy a more casual meal or wait for a table in the main restaurant next door, but always a place to discover new tastes derived from old virtues. Artisanal microbrews, an epic whiskey list and a wine list grouped by terroir and soil type, rather than the traditional classifications of political geography or grape varietal, further connect the concepts of Husk’s bar to the restaurant’s mission.
