Jackrabbit Filly
Meet Jackrabbit Filly. Named after Shuai and Corrie’s Chinese zodiac animals, Jackrabbit Filly proudly serves heritage driven New Chinese American cuisine in a fun, friendly neighborhood environment. We can’t wait to welcome your family to ours.
In 2014 Shuai and Corrie Wang moved to Charleston, SC from Brooklyn, NY under the impression they had jobs. They did not. Done working for anyone else, ever again, they began Short Grain food truck. Not only did it serve untraditional Japanese rice bowls, but it landed them on Bon Appetit magazine’s Top Fifty Best Restaurants list, Eater Young Guns and Best Chef lists, and garnered them a James Beard’s Rising Star Chef nod. All the while, the couple looked for a brick and mortar home. In 2019, they found one in Park Circle, North Charleston. And by then, they weren’t just serving rice bowls anymore. Dreaming of an afternoon bridal shower for 40? Or a business dinner for 10? Or a holiday buy out? We’ve got a package for you! We are now booking private and holiday parties. Special menu applies.
