The Fox and Pheasant
Longtime tavern with charming decor & 3 fireplaces, serving English food, beer & spirits since 1846.
The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again! Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fireplaces, a dartboard, and dog biscuits for well-behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches too. Alongside our a la carte menu we have a bar snack menu that not only runs all day, every day but also contains hearty pub classics. Roasts run all day on a Sunday and we guarantee to make sure you will always have ample spuds, gravy, and Yorkies!
