Chef Josie has worked to make Bubbles & Pearls the place where couples can have a perfect first date, and individuals can get inspired to start their own stories. Before purchasing the restaurant, Chef Josie tried to take her girlfriend Marcy to the restaurant for their first date. When Chef Josie asked the restaurant what type of oysters they were advertising on their menu, she was given the response that they did not even know that oysters were still sold at that location. Understandably, that first date was quickly moved to another location. However, when Chef Josie had the opportunity to buy the restaurant, she seized the opportunity and despite numerous setbacks, received support from the community eventually it grew so much that it turned into the location where Chef Josie later married Marcy, turning the restaurant into a location of a true love story! Chef Josie has always utilized the oyster as a source of inspiration, knowing that any setback in life is merely agitation that is used to create the pearl of the future.
