In Asheville's South Slope, a stunning and delightfully refined hotel comes to life with the spirit of Zelda Fitzgerald. Though often remembered only as the muse of her famous husband, author F. Scott Fitzgerald, Zelda was also an artist, a novelist, a poet, a dancer, and, according to Scott, “the original flapper.” Like Zelda herself, Zelda Dearest’s twenty unique rooms—set in three beautifully restored turn of the century mansions—are enchanting, enigmatic, and above all, a terribly intoxicating delight. When Zelda fell in love with Scott, she set out on a global trek with him. They lived their young lives in hotels, seeing the world. Our space embodies Zelda’s romantic, enigmatic spirit and provides the perfect, unique venue for your intimate wedding or event.
