The James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home is a National Historic Landmark that offers visitors a glimpse into the life of the great 'Hoosier Poet.' Built in 1872 in the Italianate style of architecture, this late-Victorian preservation showcases authentic furnishings and artifacts, including Mr. Riley's writing desk and his famous top hat and cane. Explore the home where James Whitcomb Riley resided from 1893 until his death in 1916 and learn about his legacy, which includes the establishment of Riley Hospital for Children.
