City of Southfield Parks & Recreation
We are once again accepting room rental applications from the public for Rooms 111, 115, 221, 223, the Lower Level Dance Room and the Marcotte Room inside the Parks & Recreation Building.
The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for 774 acres of park land and open space at 33 sites throughout the City. Carpenter Lake and Valley Woods Nature Preserves account for 333 acres of dedicated natural area within the city. The Department is also responsible for a number of historical properties including the Burgh Historical Park, the Miller Barn at Inglenook Park, the Historic Code House and the Mary Thompson Farm.
Food/Catering is allowed in rental rooms. Fryers, grills and open flames of any kind are prohibited. Drugs, alcohol and smoking products of any kind are prohibited in rental rooms.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing at least 14 days prior to rental date to avoid forfeit of security deposit. This can be done at the Parks & Recreation front desk or by email to [email protected].
