Established in 2007 and among the nation’s first craft distilleries, Valentine Distilling Company is an American pioneer of small batch, handcrafted spirits. When Valentine first started production, there were approximately 15 to 20 micro-distilleries in the U.S. Today, there are more than 2,000. Mayor Pingree Bourbon has been consistently rated among the best in the world. In 2019, The Whisky Advocate named Mayor Pingree Black Label as the 2nd Best Whiskey in the world in its Summer 2019 Buyer’s Guide, scoring 93 points. In addition, Pingree Blue and Black have won Double Gold medals from the San Francisco World Spirits competition. Valentine Vodka has been named “World’s Best” by The World Vodka Awards in London back-to-back in 2016 and 2017. The company’s award-winning bourbon, gin and vodka are available throughout Michigan, nine other states and six other countries. Our seating is an eclectic mix of couches, one of a kind booths, tall barrel tables as well as an assortment of other short and tall square tables that accommodate ~50-55 guests. Four large round tables with black linens and black chairs can seat up to 40 additional guests.
Noise Restrictions
We do not allow bands larger than trios and drum kits are not permitted. We allow DJs as long as the sound level can be matched with our front room so all guests can have a pleasant experience.
Cancellations
All deposits are non-refundable regardless of reason for cancellation
Load In
Striped loading area in front of the building as well as some access through the back for catering dropoff/pickup
Guest Access
Guests enter through the front of the building, pass through the small lounge and enter the main room just past our restrooms.
Storage
Some minimal storage space is offered for use prior to and during the event.
Cleaning and Trash Removal
Valentine staff will empty all garbages but hosts are required to dispose of leftover food and any decor not being brought home.
Sustainability
Our company is committed to sustainability with not only our cocktail lounge, but also distilling operations. Using recyclable plastic cups and paper straws are standard for our facility.
