About

Reminiscent of the Parisian elegance of yesteryear, yet rooted in the vibrant history of its home on the Bowery, Sel Rrose is a cafe by day then cocktail and oyster bar, and a New York drinking and dining institution in the evening. Named in honor of Rrose Sélavey, the female alter ego of Marcel Duchamp, the meticulously crafted space is inspired by the moody romance of early 20th century Paris, encapsulating an era of weathered grandiosity in its décor and the pensive, lingering drinking culture of the great artists and writers of the time. The menu features a revolving variety of daily fresh oysters, full raw bar and a selection of seasonal and well-constructed French inflected plates. To complement, our sprawling white marble bar offers a French-focused cocktail list, featuring guest favorite, the effervescent Lavender Piscine, alongside an array of premium spirits, natural wines and select beers on tap. Open at 9am Monday-Saturday and 10am on Sundays, the Cafe at Sel Rrose is the sun drenched little sister of Sel Rrose. Nestled behind an unassuming side door on Delancey, The Cafe serves crafted Counter Culture lattes and coffees, morning pastries from Balthazaar and daily in-house baked goods.
