North Bar
North Bar is housed in the TriBeCa Landmark District, Tribeca North.
Still standing in its original structure, the building dates back to the late 1800s and is located two blocks away from the Hudson River. At that time, the Hudson was known as River North or North River. TriBeCa at that time was a warehouse district of fine foods, oysters, nuts, coffee, and alcohol distilling serving the Washington Market and the harbor. The first tenant of 458 Greenwich Street was a pre-prohibition liquor business owned by the Steinhardt Bros. The interior design of North Bar honors 19th century TriBeCa and the harbor, which was once a critical natural resource and home to the largest cluster of oysters in the area. Upon settling into North Bar, our voyagers will be spoiled with a bold and unique curation of cocktails, tap beer from local New York breweries, an elegant choice of bubbles, a carefully selected wine list and a small menu that is illustrative to maritime TriBeCa.
