Max's Sports Bar

Max's Sports Bar & OTB was established in 1979, making it the Glendale area's first sports bar. After a complete renovation and remodel in 2002, Max's Sports Bar & OTB, now stands proudly where its roots first took hold. As the Valley's preeminent sports bar and conveniently located only 3 miles west of I-17 off exit 205, Max's features more than 100 flat screen televisions located throughout the facility, including the recently redeveloped smoking patio and broadcasts almost every major sporting event for fans to watch and follow their favorite teams. One of the things Max's is famous for, is an incredible football helmet collection which features many relics from high school, college and the pros. The kitchen has turned home-made items like the Iowa Pork Loin Sandwich, its famous half pound Jocko burgers and sandwiches into fan favorites. From tempting homemade soups to mouth-watering desserts, Max's menu has something to suit every taste. The wagering center features numerous big-screen televisions and 30 private-betting carrels equipped with newly remodeled flat screen personal televisions. Both thoroughbred and greyhound races are simulcast daily starting at 10am until approximately 10pm.
