In 2020, Chef Peter Sclafani served as Kiva's restaurant consultant. Quickly realizing that their goals, backgrounds and values matched perfectly, they decided to work together as co-owners. The new team promptly began work to revamp the established Portobello's Grill brand identity, environments and menus. Timing is everything, and the restaurants' temporary closures caused by COVID-19 provided the opportunity to make much-needed renovations, beginning with the Bocage location, where they worked for months to create a "modern neighborhood steakhouse" feel. The updated branding and menus have since been applied to the Jones Creek location. Portobello's Grill continues to provide patrons with high-quality food, drink and service. The original Portobello's motto, "Every Guest. Every Plate. Every Day." continues to be the driving force as the restaurant aims to become a local spot where the community dines in for a business lunch, happy hour, special occasion or anything in between.
