Weeksville Heritage Center

Imagine holding your next event at one of Brooklyn's most beautiful historic sites. The Weeksville Heritage Center (WHC) is one of NY’s best kept secrets. Located in Crown Heights, WHC is the site a free African American community established in 1838. On the grounds are the historic Hunterfly Road Houses. Directly across the meadow is the Education Building opened in 2014, a stunning, modern space with views of the houses and the lush landscape.Our Mission Weeksville Heritage Center is an historic site and cultural center in Central Brooklyn that uses education, arts and a social justice lens to preserve, document and inspire engagement with the history of Weeksville, one of the largest free Black communities in pre-Civil War America, and the Historic Hunterfly Road Houses.Our VisionOur vision is to be a leading authority and resource for the scholarship, exploration and dissemination of the history of Weeksville and other 19th-and early-20th century free Black communities, as well as the modern-day artistic, intellectual and social justice imperatives they exemplify and inspire. Our work will illuminate a pivotal aspect of Black history; empower our visitors with tools, training and education; celebrate and center Black culture, community and creativity; and spark dialogue and collaborations between local residents, artists, academics and activists that advance us towards a more just and equitable world.

The Pacific BK

KAI Studio

KAI studio is the premier multi-use event space in Brooklyn. Brooklyn Children's Museum

We offer spaces varying in capacity and ambiance that will fit your next event. We have space to host graduations, weddings, parties, baby showers, staff retreats, and much more. Founded in 1899 as the world’s first children’s museum, Brooklyn Children’s Museum (BCM) is New York City’s largest cultural institution designed especially for families. Proudly based in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, BCM serves 300,000 children and caregivers annually with exhibits and programs grounded in visual arts, music and performance, natural science, and world cultures. Garden House

Garden House NYC is a chic event space with a modern vibe. This spacious and beautiful loft is located in Crown Heights, Brooklyn and available for Corporate, Private, Community events and other occasions.

Ras Plant Based

Romeo and Milka Regalli always envisioned creating an Ethiopian culinary experience reminiscent of the meals that they watched their grandparents make- food that was simple yet insanely complex, made with love and bursting with flavor. Ras is their interpretation of recipes handed down through generations, a place where modern meets traditional to create exceptional cuisine. Self-proclaimed foodies Milka and chef Romeo serve up the best plant based Ethiopian dishes through a NY lens.

Oxalis

With a private garden, airy Garden Room atrium, and an intimate dining room, Oxalis is a unique venue for private gatherings.The evening typically starts in the Garden Room connected to our backyard garden, where guests join for a cocktail reception with passed canapés and drinks. After cocktail hour, dinner is served in the restaurant's intimate dining room, featuring either family-style or our individually plated carte blanche menu with beverage pairings perfectly paired for each course.

Wild Birds

Wild Birds was formed in 2019, by Julian Klepper & Luke Bonner. The operation started with Klepper hosting house parties and booking bands that he loved. With his connections in the music and art community, Klepper paired with Bonner and they envisioned Wild Birds to encompass a safe and inclusive space for all types of people and provided world-class unique, international musical talent rooted in the neighborhood's culture. Wild Birds music venue and bar planned to open in March of 2019 however delayed due to the global pandemic of Covid-19. In May 2020, Wild Birds constructed an outdoor performance space to provide music and drinks to customers. The outdoor space reduced the risk of catching the virus and provided a safer environment to operate in. Throughout 2020, Wild Birds only operated solely from their outdoor performance area, bar, and cafe. The indoor venue remained closed and underwent continuous renovation and improvements to prepare its grand opening.
