Wild Birds was formed in 2019, by Julian Klepper & Luke Bonner. The operation started with Klepper hosting house parties and booking bands that he loved. With his connections in the music and art community, Klepper paired with Bonner and they envisioned Wild Birds to encompass a safe and inclusive space for all types of people and provided world-class unique, international musical talent rooted in the neighborhood's culture. Wild Birds music venue and bar planned to open in March of 2019 however delayed due to the global pandemic of Covid-19. In May 2020, Wild Birds constructed an outdoor performance space to provide music and drinks to customers. The outdoor space reduced the risk of catching the virus and provided a safer environment to operate in. Throughout 2020, Wild Birds only operated solely from their outdoor performance area, bar, and cafe. The indoor venue remained closed and underwent continuous renovation and improvements to prepare its grand opening.
