A local fixture and operated by the second generation of the founding family, it's a simple, colorful space, flaunting framed accolades on one wall and photos of Hollywood's elite on another.The most common question we get asked about Anajak is when to go. And rightfully so–a lot goes on at this Sherman Oaks Thai spot. There's a regular dinner menu that runs nightly from Wednesday through Sunday, Taco Tuesday on Tuesdays, and a 14-course outdoor omakase every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night for those lucky enough to snag a reservation. But our answer is always the same: Go as soon as you can.Anajak Thai has been the Valley’s neighborhood Thai restaurant, serving bold Bangkok style food in a warm atmosphere for more than thirty years. The original owner, Chef Ricky’s specialties include Panang curry, Thai BBQ chicken, his famous Ribs, coconut chicken soup, to name a few.

Casa Vega

Casa Vega is a Mexican restaurant that has been operating in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles for over 65 years. Casa Vega is located on Ventura Boulevard and is one of the longest continuously family-owned restaurants in all of greater Los Angeles. Casa Vega’s roots go back to famous Olvera Street in downtown Los Angeles. Rafael “Ray” Vega opened Casa Vega in 1956 after being inspired by the success of his parents’ earlier restaurant, Café Caliente, which operated on Olvera Street throughout the 1930s. Casa Vega serves authentic, delicious food and drinks in a warm and festive atmosphere.

Whitefire Theater

Approximately 16 years ago, an unusual opportunity came to Bryan Rasmussen, a chance to own a theatre. This was something he only could dream of...but than it was a reality. Here was his chance to do something concrete for the arts. The transaction went through the typical process of business "with business" people, but Bryan had a chance to talk with original owner before he passed away. His first question to the soon to be previous owner was how he came up with the name "Whitefire". The first answer, in jest, was he thought it was a cool name, but the real answer was: "Whitefire is the hottest flame. A whitefire flame can transform metal and glass. It's a transformative heat. The Whitefire is a creative crucible."

Petit Trois

In addition to running five Los Angeles restaurants—Trois Mec and Petit Trois in Hollywood, Trois Familia in Silver Lake, and LudoBird at Staples Center and Universal CityWalk—the chef is still thigh deep in opening his biggest restaurant to date: a grand version of his acclaimed bistro Petit Trois, located just a few minutes away on Ventura Boulevard. To mark his first restaurant in the Valley—and his renewed excitement about the classics of French cooking—he has invited us over to make the custardy cherry clafoutis his mother baked when he was growing up in Burgundy. Ludo is famous for transforming simple dishes like this into shockingly delicious versions of themselves—his tender, melt-in-your-mouth omelet and garlicky, browned-butter escargots at Petit Trois come to mind—so there is reason to expect this will be the most luscious clafoutis on Earth.

Located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley on Woodman Ave. in Sherman Oaks, California, our chefs are constantly cooking either for daily consumption or catering for a celebration.On a daily basis attending to the preparation for home cooked meals, the freshest produce from farmers market (Hisba) and the freshest lamb, beef and chicken are purchased. Most of the other assortments are purchased except the pickled turnips are home made.
